Description
On August 16, 1777 a resounding victory near Bennington was won against a militia composed of German, British and Loyalist forces. Thus the foundation was laid for the American victory at Saratoga a short two months later. The author has used over fifty first hand accounts from veterans and civilians from both sides to present a vivid picture.
